The temples of South India have a lot to offer in terms of architectural beauty and mythological significance. These temples were commissioned by the erstwhile rulers of South India in veneration of their favorite deities. Most of these temples have been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 12 days long ‘South India Temple Tour’ will cover prominent temple cities of Tamil Nadu such as Chennai, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, Chidambaram, Velankanni, Tanjore, Madurai, Rameshwaram, Kanyakumari and Trivandrum.

Tour Guide

Day 1: Chennai (Arrival)

Meet our tour agent when you arrive at the Chennai airport, and they will accompany you to the hotel that has been reserved for your stay. After some rest, go on a sightseeing tour of the temples in Chennai, including the Marundeeswara, Parthasarthy, and Kapaleeswarar temples. You'll also stop at Santhome Church, the National Art Gallery, and the Fort Museum. In the motel, spend the night.

Day 2: Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

Set out for Kanchipuram via road in the morning. Start your sightseeing tour of Kanchipuram's temples when you arrive. These include the Varatharaja Temple, the Kailasanatha Temple, the Ekambareswara Temple, and the Vaikunda Perumal Temple. After sunset, proceed immediately to Mahabalipuram. Spend the night at the Mahabalipuram hotel.

Day 3: Mahabalipuram

The seaside temple complex at Mahabalipuram sightseeing tour is scheduled on the third day. Explore the temple complex for the entire afternoon. Visit the beach in the evening to indulge your want to shop by buying some handicrafts. Return to the hotel later to spend the night.

Day:4 Pondicherry

Drive to Pondicherry today. Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, and numerous more temples, including Sri Vedapureeswarar Temple, Gokilambal Thirukameswarar Temple, Varadarajaperumal Temple, Varadraja Temple, Kamatchiammalle Temple, and Manakula Vinayagar Temple, are among the locations you will see in this area. Spend the night at the Pondicherry hotel.

Day:5 Chidambaram

The sightseeing tour of the Chidamabaram temples is scheduled on day 5. You will visit a number of well-known temples while you are here, including the Brahma, Sarangapani, Swamimalai, Nageswarar, and Kumbeswarar temples. Spend the night at the Chidamabaram hotel.

Day:6 Velankanni

Drive to Velankanni first thing in the morning. The Arokkiya Madha Church, where many Christians come to pray, is what makes the location notable. Spend the night at the Velankanni hotel.

Day:7 Tanjore - Trichy

On the seventh day, proceed directly to Tanjore. Explore the nearby tourist attractions, including as the Royal Palace complex, Brihadeeswara temple, and Nandi temple, once you arrive. After that, drive to Trichy and start your sightseeing trip, stopping at the Rock-Fort Temple, Lord Robert Clive's home, Srirangam Temple, and Ganapati Temple. In the motel, spend the night.

Day:8 Madurai

Start your adventure to Madurai today. When you arrive, venture outside to discover the city's magnificent temples and other sights. Meenakshi Amman Temple, Gandhi Museum, and Thirumalai Nayak's Palace are a few of the well-known locations you can visit in this area. Spend the night at the Madurai hotel.

Day:9 Rameshwaram

The ninth day, head towards the direction of Rameshwaram. The Rameshwaram temple, a significant jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, is the area's most well-known attraction. You will also visit the Ramjharoka Temple, the Kothandaramaswamy Temple, and the Ramanatha Swamy Temple here. Spend the night at the Rameshwar hotel.

Day:10 Kanyakumari

Today, go by car to Kanyakumari, where you can see the meeting of three powerful bodies of water: the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean, and Bay of Bengal. The Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Suchindram Temple, Kanyakumari Temple, and the Gandhi Mandapam are some of the well-known locations you may see while here. Take a leisurely stroll around Kanyakumari's pristine beaches in the evening. In the motel, spend the night.

Day:11 Trivandrum

Travel to Trivandrum by road in the morning. Aruvipuram Siva Temple, Janardhan Swamy Temple, Sree Parasurama Temple, Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Ganapati Temple, and Sree Kanteswaram Temple are among the locations you will see in this area. You will also go to the Chitra Art Gallery and the Napier Museum. In the motel, spend the night.

Day:12 Departure

You will be taken to the airport to catch your next flight on the morning of the 12th day.
